Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Telefonely ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered phone receptionist service for insurance agents and small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Telefonely you agree to the terms below.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, business name, billing details, and authentication credentials.
  • Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data: phone numbers you provide and your consent to receive text messages.
  • Call data: call recordings, transcripts, caller phone numbers, call metadata, and AI-generated summaries produced when our receptionist handles a call on your behalf.
  • Usage data: log data, device and browser information, and analytics about how you use the dashboard.

3. How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Telefonely service.
  • Answer, route, transcribe, and summarize your inbound calls.
  • Send service-related SMS notifications (such as appointment confirmations, call summaries, and account alerts) to numbers that have opted in.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.

4. SMS messaging and your mobile data

We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information collected by Telefonely are used solely to deliver the messages you have signed up to receive and to operate the service. We do not transfer this information to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

  • Message frequency: message frequency varies depending on your account activity and the alerts you enable.
  • Costs: Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opting out: you can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. To get help, reply HELP or email naheel.mansoor@telefonely.com.
  • Carrier disclaimer: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

When our AI receptionist handles a call on behalf of an agency, callers may be asked for verbal consent to receive text messages such as appointment booking links and required forms. Consent is requested and recorded during the call before any message is sent. Callers can opt out at any time by replying STOP. These numbers are used only to send the messages the caller agreed to receive and are never sold or shared for marketing.

5. How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run Telefonely (for example, telephony, hosting, payment, and AI providers), and only as needed to deliver the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users. We never sell your personal information, and we never share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data retention and security

We retain account and call data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, though no system can be guaranteed fully secure.

7. Your choices

You can review and update your account information in your dashboard, opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP, and request deletion of your data by emailing naheel.mansoor@telefonely.com.

8. Children

Telefonely is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
